This week, the Fair Work Commission formally approved the VMCH Disability Services Agreement 2024 — a big win for every worker at Villa Maria Catholic Homes!

The EBA, along with all its benefits and protections, comes into operation next Monday, 10 June 2024.

HACSU members have protected important conditions, as well as making further wins. These include:

• Automatic HACSU representation on all roster reviews
• Increased sleepover rate: $85 ($100 for PH)
• Paid parental leave increased to 9 weeks (with super)
• Increase to shift penalties (Monday to Friday)
• 3 days’ compassionate leave (includes pregnancy loss)
• 15 days’ Family and Domestic Violence Leave
• 30 days’ unpaid leave for AOD rehabilitation programs
• Clear disciplinary process added into the Agreement

EBAs are a great tool to improve conditions for workers, but there's always more work we can be doing. If you want to keep using your voice, there's no better time to sign up as a delegate or HSR at your worksite.
